The Christmas StarWhite flakes of snow fluttered down from the velvet evening skies above, painting the earth below in a glinting crystalline sheet. The land remained still, melancholy silence brought on by the falling snow soon sweeping through the trees. Large black branches reaching for the sky were now monochromatically dusted with the lustrous white, setting their darkened image aglow beneath the silver moon above. It truly had been the start of a wonderful winter- and holiday season, at that. ^{*Snapcat456 and I with one of the veterans from WWII at WWII day. We were pretty much taking a break from the rest o our craziness to go and talk with him. His story is absolutely amazing and he was wonderful speaking with-- I wish we had more time with him, however.}

What a fantastic opportunity for you! I've never gotten a chance to hear was stories from people who were actually there. I want to do that someday, though.

Awww, meeting vets is always great!

It saddens me that most of the ones I knew passed on before I grew old enough to appreciate all the history that they witnessed.

But oooh, this WWII Weekend thing looks like a whole ton of fun!

Is it a yearly event or is this just a one-time deal?

It's always interesting to hear war stories.

Unfortunately, the last person who experienced WWII in my family died before I got to fully know him.

) Now the only way I can get goods on him is through my mother and aunt.

Now the the only one who'll give us war stories is my father, who fought in Vietnam. (Though I don't wanna hear the REST of his stories.. they're all mostly about the LaVanways. Oh what a messed up bunch. XD Heard we got some Nazis in there. O_O)

Don't ye just love being bombarded by my totally unwarned story tellings? XDDDD
